Account Information

To use the IDEAL Learning Hub ("the app"), you need to sign in with an account that you create on our platform. The information you provide to do this may include your name, email address, username and profile picture. This information is used only to authenticate you and display your courses and learning content within the app.

Device and Usage Information

The app may collect basic device information, such as device model, operating system version, and app version solely to help diagnose issues, ensure compatibility, and improve performance.

Camera and Photo Library

Only with your permission, the app is able to access your device’s camera and photo library so you can take or upload photos. You may want to do this to set a profile picture or attach images to an assignment submission. The app only accesses the camera or photo library when you actively choose to use these features.

Microphone

The app may request access to your microphone if you choose to record audio for messages or course activity. This access is only used when you actively initiate a recording and only with your permission.

Push Notifications

If enabled by you, the app uses push notification services to alert you about new messages and course activity. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or within the app.

Files and Storage

The app may store course materials, attachments, and submitted files locally on your device to support offline access. These files remain on your device and are managed by the app for your convenience.

We do not sell your personal information. No one at IDEAL Learning Solutions other than site administrators has access to information you provide either through the site or through the app. We may occasionally share limited, anonymous technical information (such as push notification delivery services) with service providers strictly to operate the app’s features. 

Your account data is stored on our carefully managed Virtual Private Server (VPS). We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect information you share with us, both through the site and through the app. Additionally, files and content cached for offline use are stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time through the app's settings or by uninstalling the app.

Our courses are focused mainly on higher education, professional development and workplace training, and as such the app is designed for use by adult learners. Some courses, however, may be designed for younger students who need academic support. Consequently, users who enroll in our courses and access the app will be required to confirm they meet minimum age requirements in their area and are able to consent to the collection and use of their information as outlined in this policy. 

When using the app, you remain in control of your device and its data at all times. You are always able to: 

• control the camera, photo and microphone permissions through the device settings,
• disable push notifications either through your device or the app settings,
• clear locally stored (offline) files through the app settings, and
• contact IDEAL to request correction or deletion of your account data from our platform and server.

Technology changes, and so do we. As IDEAL grows, we may occasionally update this policy to reflect new practices, new technologies, or new requirements. Whenever we do, we'll be sure to post the changes here and update the revision date.
